Patio in antique Cordoba

  1. Was there a barbecue in there somewhere? Amongst those patios? On which to throw a prawn or a slab of tofu?

  2. Yes. Not so much the stainless steel numbers with gas bottle but rather the occasional iron frame with a place for wood or charcoal. Of course the history of the patio included poor people coming in from the country in the Middle Ages and living topsey turvey on top of each other with all the cooking and toileting happening in the patio; rain, hail or shine. A lot of barbecue in those days. Not much tofu
